“Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.”
As a former law enforcement officer, I found there were many people I encountered who were going through stressful situations but did not know where to go or who to turn to for help. During my twelve years in that career, I saw people at their worst, but was unable to help them beyond a brief period of time. I decided I wanted to make a change in my life and transitioned to the therapeutic world in order to help people on a more personal level. I wanted my practice to reflect my unique skills I cultivated from my previous career, life experiences, and education I received from Nova Southeastern University’s Marriage and Family Therapy graduate program.
I know my clients’ time and money are both valuable and that is why my sessions are structured and as goal oriented as possible. The couples and family therapeutic world is ever-changing so I prioritize keeping up with the latest research by reading scholarly articles and attending training sessions related to personal and relational issues.
My clients are motivated and committed to making changes in their personal relationships and their own lives. I support them in exploring their history and uncovering patterns they may not even be aware of, so they can begin to have more control over their choices in life. I love providing clients with tools and techniques that can lead them to living a more enriched life, which will ultimately help them discontinue their time with me.
Just as the quote says from Brene’ Brown, “Vulnerability is not weakness; it's our greatest measure of courage.” Visiting my page is the first step to leading a more courageous life by creating a new path to resolution.
